Since i start mastering a year ago i had always wanted some generic RPG as tool. Then i discovered Savage Worlds: nice to play and easy for mastering. Fast, Furious and Fun, really fun.
I had the tool, but I needed the Setting. After a test with few random settings, my friends and I decided that we needed some serious material, then we bought Hellfrost. We have been playing it since then.
These days we have been trying to adapt some famous entertainment brands into SW. But there is a problem… it demands a lot of time. We can barely manage the playing sessions, and I thought: Why not do it cooperatively with the community? The idea was born.
Today is the first post of Rise of Legends Setting. This is one of my favorite videogames of all time. The game itself does not dwell too much into the setting. Like Blizzard with WOW, we planned to develop a world from a RTS. It should not be as hard as it looks, just put the pieces together and play with them.
In ROL we have 3 different genres mixed into one. Steampunk, Fantasy and Sci-Fi. That is why this Setting is so interesting. We hope you like it, and we are anxious to begin with this project.
